I am One
04:31
|
|||
Power says fall in behind. These wheels they’ve turned.
Are we blind?
Set on a pedestal your brain and let them wash it in their rage.
You let them wash away your name.
I am one, I am someone.
And I have gifts that I can offer.
We are strong and we have needs that can be met with our own hands and feet.
Power says you can’t win. To refuse our help is worse than sin.
Yeah they will take your rights away.
And even more they’ll leave you shamed.
Convince the world that you’re to blame.
I am one, I am someone.
And I am more than just a number.
We are strong but we have needs. We need for you just to let us be.
Power is in our hands. To defeat Tyranny.
Yes we will rise victorious.
It’s time the power dealt with us.
It’s time we used our voice to speak.

Intervention
03:44
|
|||
All I really want is just to hear your voice again.
It’s getting harder every day with all this noise inside my head.
But I let it in, I let it in.
I let it in and now it’s found a home here and I begin to drown again.
I need an intervention.
I need a place to hide.
I need someone to sing to me the way back to life.
I need a conversation.
I need a path to choose.
I need to know that everything’s not set up to lose.
All I really want is just to say I found my way.
I know what I should do but I don’t have the strength to stay.
So I let it go, I let it go, I let it go and I feel lost forever.
And I can see this story drawing to a close.
I need an intervention.
I need a place to hide.
I need someone to sing to me the way back to life.
I need a conversation.
I need a path to choose.
I need to know that everything’s not set up to lose.
Show me how your heart can change a life.
Direct me to a place I’d never find alone.
Listen to me love won’t you try.
Don’t let the door close until I’m safely inside.
I need an intervention.
I need a place to hide.
I need someone to sing to me the way back to life.
I need a conversation.
I need a path to choose.
I need to know that everyone’s not set up to lose.
I need an intervention

Even Now
04:09
|
|||
Even now as my breath fades the simple rhythm of my pulse beats
In and out of this feeling that we shared early morning looking down
At your face, a shining story of a castle’s prison cell
You a captive me a warrior fallen out of honor
I was wrong, I am sorry, I forgive you love
I was not strong and I’m so sorry that I let you down
But we were never meant to be, never meant to be
Though we forced what was not right into being I was blinded
Shed my doubt that this bond was something fleeting Was this hope that I had found
Such a fool never learning building castles in my mind
If I could girl I would go back and make us a brand new start
I was wrong, I am sorry, I forgive you love
I was not strong and I’m so sorry that I let you down
Let you down, let you down
Oh how I wanted to hate you
For what I have done to myself
I knew that your words were not true
But I acted the part anyway, I acted the part anyway
I will never compromise again
So much more to this riddle both of us were so misguided
So far gone in our own worlds with our own pasts in our weakness both chose wrong
That’s OK all’s forgiven still waiting for my mind to stop
Placing “could be” in the path of what I’m striving for
I was wrong, I am sorry, I forgive you love
I was not strong and I’m so sorry that I let you down
Even now the dust has settled I can’t forget you love
Even now I have to wonder why we met my love
If we were never meant to be
Things happen for a reason
What was that reason love?
